I want to thank Katelyn Taylor for the opportunity for this ARC, the thoughts and opinions below are strictly my own and in no way formed by anyone else.

Tropes
Ex's Best Friend
Sports Romance
Probably more but either way whatever, it's amazing.

Let's Get Into It

This is my second novel by Katelyn Taylor- and I dare say my very favorite one that I have read.I was a bit critical on the first one I read, but this one- this right here is a+. I don't really do a lot of sports romances, but this one right here had me hooked since chapter two.

I absolutely adore how she built every single one of these characters (including the FMC which we know is usually hard for me to relate to). These characters are very well built and I couldn't decide if I loved or hated several of them, in such a delicious way. I really enjoyed the side characters as well- and I pray that we get to see more of them further into the series.

I could not put this book down. The story in itself was a constant page-turner and something I could not read enough of- in fact I can't wait for her to continue this series because I was not ready for it to end.

This is an ex's best friend but the ex is still there. There are so many unknowns about everything that you constantly don't know how you feel. I was constantly indecisive about who I wanted in the end to be end game the whole time and the angst was beautiful. I was actually getting very upset at one point because I thought this was going to end one way and then boom! Katelyn threw everything I knew out the window and made me stay up way too late to finish this book.

The spice- let's talk about that- I LOVED it. It was angsty, descriptive, and just put in all the right places. It made sense to the story and wasn't just spice for the sake of spice. Don't get me wrong this is not a "lack of spice" by anymeans... oh no no. This has spice in all the right places and just enough to make you *literally* say things outloud- my husband got tired of hearing me go "OH!!!! WOW!" and other narratives haha. It's all in good fun, but truly the spice was fantastic.

I will absolutely own this book in paperback and can not wait to read more!
